A community support organisation in Sandwell which offers help and advice to vulnerable men and women is on the lookout for part time workers.

SWAN Community Carelink is looking for new Support Workers to work 16 hours a week during a 26 week period starting from October 5th.

Based at Wood Lane Community Centre in West Bromwich, SWAN was originally founded to offer support to vulnerable women but has now opened its doors to men as well.

The organisation offers an intervention service for vulnerable adults and support on a number of issues including mental health, isolation, and domestic abuse. Advice and guidance is provided through outreach support, dedicated groups, workshops and training sessions.

Applicants need to be motivated and committed to SAWN and its clients. A driving license is desirable but not essential. Successful applicants will need to undergo an enhanced police CRB check and undertake necessary training.

The deadline for applications is Friday 11th September and interviews will be held on September 15th.

SWAN will hold its AGM between midday and 2pm on Friday September 11th. It will be at 157 Wood Lane and a buffet lunch is included.

For more information on the AGM, or to get an application form, call SWAN Community Carelink on 0121 553 7074.
