Are you having difficulty in raising finance from usual commercial sources?

The Advantage West Midlands backed Advantage Transition Bridge Fund can help.  The Advantage Transition Bridge Fund can provide loans of between £50,000 and £250,000 to SME businesses based in the West Midlands.  Businesses must have a viable business plan but be unable to secure finance to progress that plan from usual commercial sources. (Applicants must have approached their bank or alternative provider first).

Are you a registered charity worried about your financial viability?

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) can help.  For charities that are worried about their financial viability CAF has launched a free crisis helpline.  Charity leaders will be able to talk in confidence to CAF advisers and get advice on the steps they can take.  CAF will also refer charities to the sector's main umbrella bodies if they need further advice. The NCVO, Acevo, the Charity Finance Directors' Group and the Institute of Fundraising have all offered their support.

The helpline is available to any UK charity, regardless of size or affiliation.  The helpline number is 0800 980 2000.  Lines are open: Mon to Fri 8am - 6pm

Regional Action West Midlands is collecting evidence of the impact of the recession on charities and Third Sector organisations. This is being used to shape the West Midlands recession recovery plan, and to make sure the needs of third sector organizations are being met.
